Biography

Growing up in a small town, Warden, WA, fitness had always been a struggle for me to maintain. I never really could get sports to stick, and even once I graduated high school and went on to college, I still maintained that I wanted to find a way to get active but still continued to find failure in my journey. Cut to 2020. The world is in shambles, and although I had joined the gym about a year prior I still wasn’t connecting with it. As many people experienced during the pandemic, I had some unexpected changes with work, and as a result suddenly found myself with a ton of free time. CrossFit AFCO not only became the thing that helped me physically, but mentally. I credit so much of my sanity to the escape that was being in the gym. I started to take note of the amazing members who belonged to this community, and witnessed in real time the amazing milestones that they were accomplishing, and that I now experienced as well. Through the support of the community, coaches and friends I found a love for fitness that I had struggled to find for some many years before. I became a coach to help give back to the people who unknowingly gave so much to me. I can’t explain how insanely happy it makes me to watch the amazing members we have in our gym, turn into the best versions of themselves and realize they can do really hard stuff, and walk away being proud of their accomplishments. CrossFit will forever be a part of my story, and I hope by coaching and continuing to learn and grow, that I can be even just a fraction of that to CrossFit AFCO and its members.
